Deputies: Man Arrested After Assault at Ottawa Co. Barnes & Noble

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (June 30, 2014) — A 32-year-old Park Township man was arrested Monday after an alleged domestic assault and police chase.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department says the assault happened just before 9:30 a.m. at the Barnes & Noble on Beeline Road in Holland Township.

According to the sheriff’s department, three employees came to the woman’s aid during the incident and separated her and the suspect.

The man allegedly fled when deputies arrived on the scene.  He ran across Beeline Road before being taken into custody.

He was treated for minor injuries and is currently being held on charges of domestic assault and resisting and obstructing police.   Additional charges are also being sought.
