Sources: Muskegon Heights Motorcyclist Shot, Homicide Investigation Continues

Jake RameauMUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (July 1, 2014)- Sources confirm to FOX 17 Jake Rameau, 26, was killed after being shot, which subsequently caused his motorcycle to crash early Thursday, June 26.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. in the 2400 block of Peck Street.  Rameau was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say they do not believe Rameau’s killing is connected to the death of Rebekah Bletsch, who was found shot and killed on Automobile Road in Dalton Township Sunday evening.

Anyone with information on Rameau’s death is being asked to call Michigan State Police Rockford Post at (616) 866-4411.

    You do realize that you released this during the viewing for his family, right? This family is suffering a horrific loss and you decided to release that he was shot during an already painful event.

      Oh… Boo…Hoo. you want this solved then stop crying! The police are asking for help to solve who did this, or any information they can find. I would think that you would be thankful that they are doing anything and everything possible to get the answers the need to put whoever did this behind bars where they belong! Would you feel better if they just waited a few months to ask questions?

    Ok another Accident turns into a killing by gun shot and then go on to say they do not think they are connected? Why not wait and let them investigate.I dont understand why they kept this one quiet also?
