LUNA PIER, Mich (July 6, 2014)- While many were out celebrating the holiday weekend, a family in Metro Detroit was hosting a fundraiser at Luna Pier’s annual garage sale to buy headstones for their parents.

On Saturday, Haley, Danielle and Kendell were busy selling things like water and cookies, trying to get enough money for their parents’ tombstone. According to WDIV, in 2011 the girls lost their father in a car crash; their mother passed away this year.
