Cute new arrivals at Binder Park Zoo

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Binder Park Zoo announced Tuesday that a slew of new baby animals have been added to its  lineup.

A new female black mangabey monkey named Chekelea recently went on exhibit with her mom, increasing the troop at Binder Park to four.   Chekelea was born May 1.

This week the zoo is also introducing two baby giraffes that were born in June.   Kitovu, a female, was born June 12 and Hulka, a male, was born June 16.

Two female guinea hogs named Twiglet and Rosebud are being added to the Wild Africa Forest Farm exhibit as well.  Both hogs are under 1-year-old.
