GRAND HAVEN, Mich. — Family members of a missing teenage girl are thanking people for their help, as they report that Abbie Rose Miller is now back home.

Miller, 17, had been reported missing on Friday.  The response to the search efforts was immediate, with FOX 17’s Facebook post alone getting over 1,300 shares.

Early Tuesday morning, there were comments in the posting that Abbie may have been found safe.  Soon after, her father posted that she had indeed come home, and thanked everyone for assisting with the search.

Officials believe she had left on her own accord, but it is unclear why she decided to leave.

    This is ridiculous. She’s 17!!
She went to party. Whose 17 year-olds parents would give their permission for that? Let her be a freakin teenager!!

Let her be a teenager? It looks like she was gone to the “party” for several days and no one knew where she was!! Being a “teenager” also includes being responsible enough to let your parents know where you are; the same parents who are still providing you food, room and board. What kind of teenager takes off for several days and does not let their parents know she is ok?

You last two comments can calm down. With everything that has gone on around here lately they had every reason to worry. whether she wanted to leave for fun or whatever reason, Other people have been kid napped and people have been shot in Muskegon. Her parents had every right to worry. She could of kept in contact and didn’t. This is a happy moment for them so quit being so dang rude!

Thank God she was found safe. No matter what the reason was for her disappearance, I’m sure her parents were fearing the worst had happened to her and now a days, that’s usually the case! I hope she understands how dangerous it was to take off like that with no one knowing where she was! Sex traffickers are always on the lookout for young girls like this!

I’d appreciate it if you kept such rude comments to yourselves, please. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all! If you knew this family at all (something I have the immense pleasure of doing) you wouldn’t be saying such hurtful things! There is simply no reason for it and I think you should be able to let them simply rejoice in the safe return of a very dear girl.
Yes, she’s a teenager…but that doesn’t mean no one cares about what she does to herself or what happens to her; she is someone’s child! Have a heart!

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is valuable and all. But think of if
you added some great visuals or videos to give your
posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with
images and clips, this blog could definitely be one of the greatest in its
    field. Great blog!
