PAW PAW, Mich. – A Walmart superstore opened Wednesday morning in the Van Buren County community of Paw Paw.

The new store on Kalamazoo Street just south of I-94 is expected to employ up to 300 new people in the community, said the store.

There was a lot of fanfare by citizens and city officials to mark the grand opening.

The Walmart has been discussed in the community during the past 10 years before it finally became a reality.

Has anyone had any problems with their food, specifically meats, being spoiled when you buy them?? We have been to the nee walmart twice now for groceries the first was some packaged lunch meat,we didn’t think much of it figured was fluke . However this past week we bought a pork tenderloin to cut up as soon as we opened package you could then smell how spoiled it was . Not letting this one “slide by” …seems they would be extra careful with things being that they just opened last month
