Officers looking for suspect wanted in recent Kalamazoo homicide

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Officers with the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety are looking for a teenager in connection to a homicide that happened on July 23rd.

Officers are searching for 18-year-old DaQuan “Quan” Pritchett in connection to the death of 19-year-old Christopher Adams. Pritchett is being charged with open murder and felony  firearms charges.

Mr. Pritchett is being considered armed as he fled the scene of the shooting with the weapon used the incident.

The shooting took place on July 23rd in the 3200 block of Mt. Olivet Stm, where two people were shooting at each other. When officers arrived on scene everyone had fled. Just minutes after that Christopher Adams arrived at Borgess Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Mr. Pritchett is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
