GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Lake Michigan Credit Union has sold its Hudsonville Auto Center to the Todd Wenzel dealership group, according to a memo sent to employees Wednesday.

“This division of our company was created to sell our lease returns.  Since LMCU discontinued the leasing business we no longer have the lease returns to fill the lot.  Therefore a decision was made to sell the Auto Center and Car Wash to a reputable dealer who we felt would be a good fit for this location,” stated the memo.

Lake Michigan Credit Union said Todd Wenzel will open a pre-owned superstore on its property, 4130 32nd Ave., Hudsonville, and the car wash will continue to operate.

The company said many of its staff will stay on with LMCU and others have found employment with Todd Wenzel.

FOX 17 reached out to LMCU for a comment Wednesday morning, but the calls were not returned.
