LPGA superstars invade West Michigan, Impressed by fan support for Meijer LPGA Classic
BELMONT, Mich. — Some of the biggest names in women’s golf are visiting West Michigan this week, and so far they are coming away impressed.
The Meijer LPGA Classic begins Thursday, but players continued practicing on Tuesday. The tournament field includes nine of the top ten ranked players in the world and entire top ten of the LPGA’s Rolex Player of the Year standings. Some of the big name players like Michelle Wie and Morgan Pressel gave their thoughts on the new tournament today.
The Meijer LPGA Classic is the first official LPGA tournament in Michigan since the Oldsmobile Classic in 2000.
