Missing Teenager from Bedford Township found safe

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK FOX 2)- Hayley Turner was found alive in Ecorse this afternoon according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

Turner, 18, is at the Ecorse Police Department right now.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating the possible abduction of Turner.

In a press conference Sheriff Dale Malone said that at about 3:30 p.m. the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office received word that Turner had been found. Malone said that more information will be relayed soon, and that the investigation is ongoing.
More than 40 officers were involved in the search from various departments and that Turner’s cell phone was found due to a tip from the community.

Malone thanked the community and media for responding in a timely manner after Turner went missing. He said the tips helped lead to a “positive outcome.”

Malone said in a press conference Friday morning Turner went missing as she was out renting a movie Thursday night in Bedford Twp..
