GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A teenager suffered a gunshot wound on Grand Rapids’ southeast side Friday evening.
At about 6 p.m. Friday, the Grand Rapids Police Department responded to a report of shots fired on Jefferson Avenue SE south of Garden Street SE near the railroad tracks. Officers found no shooting victims upon arriving at the scene.
At 6:30 p.m. Friday, a 16-year-old male arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital with a single gunshot wound to the thigh. Police told FOX 17 NEWS that the wound was not life threatening.
Officers said at least three suspects fled the shooting scene in a dark sedan. No other suspect information was available.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Grand Rapids Police Department.
