Two vehicle crash sends one man to the hospital

HUDSONVILLE, Mich.-  A 59-year-old man is in the hospital Sunday afternoon after a car vs. motorcycle accident in Hudsonville.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the intersection of 32nd St. and Highland Ave.

Deputies state that a Nissan Versa driven by 50-year-old Karen Minner was travelling northbound on 32nd street when she turn onto Highland Ave. and into the path of 59-year-old Patrick Walton who was on his Harley Davidson.

Mr. Walton was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in serious condition. Ms. Minner was uninjured in the crash.

Deputies believe that alcohol nor speed were factors in this crash.

This crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
