CALEDONIA, Mich. — Four homes were burlarized while their owners were away on Wednesday, and the Kent County Sheriff’s Department is putting out word that residents need to lock their exterior doors and windows and keep garage doors closed.

The break-ins all took place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., the time occupants are most likely to be away from home. And the thieves got in by prying open doors or “clawing through open windows,” said the KCSD.

The thieves got away in each case with a small amount of cash.

Two of the homes targeted are on 84th Street, one on 76th Street, and one on Whitneyville Avenue. KSCD also encourages residence to report any suspicious activity.

The sheriff’s department has no suspects, so if you know anything contact the Kent County Sheriff Department 632-6100.
