HASTINGS, Mich - Police in Hastings say they've identified two male suspects who've admitted to stealing a 7-foot tall wooden Sasquatch statue from a backyard near the Thornapple River earlier this month.

Investigators say witnesses were able to snap pictures of the two male suspects taking the Sasquatch, catching them in the act.  Police say witnesses spotted the pair floating down the Thornapple River before they got out to steal the wooden statue.

Police later questioned the two males, who at first denied the theft, then admitted to it after learning there were pictures of them taking it.

Hastings Police says the case has been turned over the Barry County Prosecutor's Office for review.
