NORTON SHORES, Mich. — About $3,000 worth of handguns were taken by thieves who kicked in the door at Shoreline Shooters overnight Monday.

After police were called around 1:15 a.m., a tracking dog was called from the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department, but the suspect’s trail was lost.

When officers arrived at Shoreline Shooters Supply, 3129 Fairlfield Street, they found the door kicked in. A search yielded no one inside, but the owner’s check of inventory revealed that seven handguns worth about $3,000 had been stolen.
