KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. — Police have arrested a man and recovered firearms — as well as used and unused ammunition — after they say he assaulted and threatened to shoot his roommate.

The call came in early Thursday morning, for a reported Felonious Assault at a residence on Briarcliff Path in Texas Township.  The victim told deputies that he had just been assaulted by his roommate, who had been ‘consuming intoxicants’ earlier in the evening.  The victim also reported that the roommate pointed a gun at him.

The suspect, a convicted felon, had also discharged a firearm earlier in the evening.  Deputies attempted to make contact, and did observe a firearm inside the home.  The suspect was taken into custody when police saw him walking in the kitchen area.  He is expected to face multiple charges.
