Recalled: Honda generators, Coleman river tubes

BETHESDA, Md. — The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a handful of recalls this week, including some popular gas-powered generators, as well as some river tubes that may cause skin irritation.

Below is the information on the recent recalls.

American Honda gas-powered generators — The rear frame support can fail during lifting, posing an impact hazard. The owner’s manual can have missing or duplicated pages, which could cause consumers not to receive important operating or safety information.  About 8,100 units are impacted.  It involves the 2014 Honda gasoline-powered EU7000isN AT generator.  Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled generators and contact a Honda Power Equipment dealer to schedule a free repair of the rear frame support and replacement of the owner’s manual.  Honda can be reached at (888) 888-3139.  Click here for more information on this recall.

Recalled Coleman river tubes

Coleman Sevylor-brand rubber river tubes — Contact with the tube can cause skin irritation.  About 20,500 units are impacted.  Coleman has received 24 reports of consumers suffering skin irritation.  They were sold exclusively at Walmart.  Contact The Coleman Company Inc. at (800) 835-3278 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, e-mail consumerservice@coleman.comClick here for more information on this recall.
