Muskegon High School locked down after student brings loaded gun to school

MUSKEGON, Mich. -- Muskegon High School was locked down Tuesday afternoon after school officials say a ninth grader brought a loaded gun to school.

The lock down started just after 1 p.m.  and ended in time for students to be released at 2:45 p.m.

No one was injured in the incident.  Muskegon Police confiscated the gun and apprehended the student.

    I’d like to know if the gun is legally registered to family?
    If he took the gun from home or off grandpa that’s one thing, but if its a hot gun, stolen and acquired through the black-market that’s another

      Actually, it’s a select few people at the school that partake in those kinds of “activities”. Many/most of the students here (including myself) actually do well in school and have goals to go to college and get out of muskegon away from the violence. So, please don’t say that the kids involved in this incident are “typical muskegon residents”. I’m a typical muskegon resident.

    Amen to you also Areon Johnson!!!!!!Typically stereotyping….. this isn’t just happening in Muskegon it’s happening all over West Michigan and the rest of the United States……. It’s just so sad!!!
