Police: Woman sexually assaulted after 4 men break into home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A woman was sexually assaulted after four men broke into her home Monday night, according to a release from Grand Rapids Police Department.

Police say the men broke into a home in the area of Garfield Avenue NW and Jackson Street at about 8 p.m. Monday.  One of them sexually assaulted the woman and forced her into a room downstairs, according to a release.

The victim remained in that room until police say she felt the suspects had left her home, and contacted authorities at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Here are the descriptions of the suspects from police:

One suspect is described as a Hispanic male who is 5 feet 4 inches tall, roughly 150 lbs.  He is believed to be between 35 and 40 years old with a large scar on his right cheek.   He has a tattoo of a cross on one of his biceps, and police say he was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt and dark jeans.

The second suspect is a Hispanic male between 20 and 25 years old, with “average build and height. ”  He was last seen wearing a dark green shirt and jeans.

The third suspect is a bald black male in his late 50s.  He is described as 6 feet tall with an average build and was last seen wearing a zip-up jacket and jeans.

The final suspect is a black male in his early 40s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with an average build and short dark hair.  He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
