Car crashes into tree, alcohol believed to be a factor

ARLINGTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Three people have been admitted to the hospital with serious injuries after their vehicle crashed into a tree in Arlington Township around 12:30 Sunday morning. Police believe alcohol may have been a factor.

The car had been going west on 40th avenue, when the driver allegedly lost control and hit a fence and a tree located on the north side of 40th Avenue.

The driver, a 31 year old man, sustained injuries to his head and neck, according to authorities, and is in stable condition. The 30 year old female passenger sustained serious injuries and is in critical condition. The 27 year old male passenger sustained internal injuries,  and is in serious condition. All three individuals involved in the crash were taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
