Governor Snyder to launch statewide initiative in West Michigan

ZEELAND, Mich.– Aligning Michigan’s workforce and education to meet talent needs of the state’s employers is the focus of Governor Rick Snyder’s visit to West Michigan, Monday.

The governor will join West Michigan talent-development initiative, Talent 2025, to present details during a press conference.

The announcement takes place at 2 pm Gentex Corporate Headquarters, located at 600 N Centennial St. in Zeeland.

Michigan’s recent unemployment rate stands at 7.4%, which is about 1.6% less than this time last year. The nation’s unemployment rate is 6.1%.
