Man robs GR Dollar General with knife

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Officers were called to a report of armed robbery at a Dollar General located at 1226 Madison SE at 6:25 p.m. Saturday.

The suspect was armed with a knife and was able to obtain some money.

Investigators say this robbery is quite possibly related to the others at Walgreen’s.

The suspect is described as a black male 25-30 years old, wearing a tan fisherman’s hat with a Northface logo, a white tee-shirt with a Northface logo on the front, tan cargo shorts, white ankle socks, and brown shoes.

No one was injured in the robbery. GRPD is working on retrieving video of the suspect.
