Pedestrian hit by car near GVSU

ALLENDALE TOWNSHIP, Mich.– One teenager is in the hospital after being struck by a car early Saturday morning.

It all happened at around 1:20 AM this morning. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, 18-year-old Issac Boes was crossing 48th Ave. at the intersection West Campus Drive and did not see the car driven by 19-year-old Zachary Drescher coming toward him. Boes was hit by Drescher’s car, and taken to the hospital. Boes received non-life threatening injuries.

Drescher was not injured in the crash. He told police that he too did not see Boes crossing the street.
