Aero Med dispatched to rollover crash

Posted

CALEDONIA, Mich —  A man from Kent County was airlifted to the hospital Sunday evening after he was ejected from his car in a rollover crash.

Around 6:30 p.m., crews were dispatched to a report of a personal injury accident involving a possible ejection on 92nd Street SE.

After investigating on the scene, officials determined that Andrew Hammock, 27, was speeding when he tried to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone.  Hammock lost control of his vehicle and hit a cement culvert; the impact caused the car to roll over and eject Hammock.

Hammock was airlifted to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police are still investigating the crash but say both alcohol and speed were involved.
