ArtPrize 2014 winners

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The ArtPrize 2014 award winners were announced Friday at the Grand Rapids Civic Theater.

The big winner of the night was Anila Quayyum Agha, whose "Intersections" piece won the public vote grand prize as well as tied for the juried prize with "The Hair Craft Project."  Agha wins $300,000 for those two awards.  Her piece was also the installation public vote winner.

Public Vote Grand Prize: "Intersections" by Anila Quayyum Agha

Juried Grand Prize: "Intersections" and "The Hair Craft Project" by Sonya Clark (tie)

Outstanding Venue: Site:Lab

Two Dimensional Public Vote Winner: "Outcry" by Gretchyn Laur

Two Dimensional Juried Winner: "The Hair Craft Project"

Installation Public Vote: "Intersections"

Installation Juried Vote: "Symptomatic Constant" by Julie Schenkelberg

Time-based Piece: "Your Move?" by Robert Shangle

Three Dimensional Public Vote Winner: "Reciprocity" by Marc Sijan

Three Dimensional Juried Winner: "Tengo Hambre" by Maximo Gonzalez
