WAYLAND, MICH. – Michigan State Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened on westbound 136th Ave at approximately 12:10 p.m. Saturday.
A semi was traveling westbound on 136th avenue, attempting to pass a pick-up truck when the pick-up turned in front of the semi and into a driveway.
The semi hit the driver’s side of the pick-up, seriously injuring the driver of the pick-up, 68 year old Robert Wakeman of Hamilton. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the semi did not appear to be injured.
