CALEDONIA, Mich-- EDDIE KELLY IS HAVING A MONSTER SEASON ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD…HE RECENTLY BECAME CALEDONIA'S ALL-TIME LEADER IN RUSHING TOUCHDOWNS IN A SEASON AND IN A CAREER….THE SENIOR WAS GOOD LAST YEAR TOO….BUT NOT THIS GOOD….

"I put in a lot more time in the offseason, conditioning, weightlifting, I feel like the class that I've grown up with over time, we've developed into a tighter bunch of people, tighter team and through that we can play better together" Kelly said.

BUT EDDIE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST WHT YOU SEE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS ON THE GRIDIRON…HE HAS A THREE POINT NINE NINE THREE GRADE POINT AVERAGE AND WANTS TO BECOME AND ENGINEER….AND DID I MENTION HE ALSO PLAYS THE PIANO LIKE HE'S BEETHOVEN.

AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE BEETHOVEN MAKE THREE GUYS MISS ON HIS WAY TO AN 86-YARD TOUCHDOWN….ANY WAY YOU SHAKE IT….EDDIE IS VERY TALENTED….

"He's so talented, whatever Eddie's puts his mind too he does really well, he doesn't do anything halfway he's all in when he goes and you can see that, I had him in the classroom, he's a great student. He has had two good parents in his life that have encouraged him that have encouraged him, that have challenged him to do things more than just being an athlete, being a student, being in music, he's a well-rounded kid" Caledonia football coach Tom Burrill said.

HE BEGAN LEARNING THE PIANO TEN YEARS AGO AT THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF HIS MOM WHO SIGNED HIM UP FOR LESSONS…

"At first I loved it because my brother was taking lessons and I always want to be better than him, but eventually I got to a point where I didn't want to take lessons anymore, kind of the teenage stage where you want to do what you want to do and my mom kind of pushed me through it and helped me through it and I am where I am" Kelly said.

BEING AN ABSOLUTE BEAST ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD AND TICKLING THE IVORY DON'T GENERALLY GO TOGETHER….BUT THAT IS WHAT JUST PART OF WHAT MAKES EDDIE SO UNIQUE….

"My mom always tells me there is a rhythm to piano and a rhythm to football and once you get the rhythm in football going you are on you just keep doing what you are doing and the same with piano" Kelly said.

EDDIE AND THE FIGHTING SCOTS HOPE TO CONTINUE WHAT THEY ARE DOING SATURDAY NIGHT WHEN THEY BEGIN THE STATE PLAYOFFS.
