Man stabbed at a party, officers searching for the suspect

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- A 20-year-old man is recovering at Bronson Hospital after being stabbed multiple times early Saturday morning.

According to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, the stabbing occured around 2 a.m. early Saturday morning in the 600 block of Davis Street near Western Michigan University.

Officers state that the suspect and the victim were both at a Halloween party on Davis Street when the suspect was asked to leave. A short time later, the suspect returned to the party where he got into an altercation with the victim which led to the stabbing.

When officers arrived on scene they found the 20-year-old victim in the bathroom with multiple stab wounds. The victim was then taken to Bronson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He is currently listed in stable condition.

The suspect is described as being a white male with short dirty blonde hair. He is approximately 5’5” to 5’8” tall and 160 lbs.. He was wearing a black leather jacket, gray t-shirt, and blue jeans. Some witnesses indicated that he was wearing a white mask or had a white painted face.

Officers believe that the suspect fled on foot.
