GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A student was robbed Saturday on Aquinas College’s campus along East Fulton Street in Grand Rapids, according to police.

It happened shortly after 6 p.m.

Police say the student’s cellphone and backpack were stolen.

The suspect is described as a 6-foot-tall black male who was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt at the time with a blue and yellow bandanna.

A K-9 unit was able to track the suspect to Michigan and Ball Streets but wasn’t able to find him.

Aquinas College was on lockdown during the investigation. The lockdown was lifted shortly after.

The victim wasn’t hurt.
