Hughes turns herself in after being featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Parole absconder Jaime Hughes is back behind bars.

Authorities tell us Hughes turned herself in after being featured on West Michigan’s Most Wanted.

She’s currently booked in the Kent County Jail.

Hughes and boyfriend Vernon Burrell and are two parole absconders who opted to run from the law together. Both have felony warrants out of Grand Rapids after Burrell’s grandmother’s credit card went missing.

Hughes began serving time in 2007, more recently locked up in 2011 after cashing counterfeit checks from the Grand Rapids Urban League at a Fifth Third Bank in Wyoming.
