HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two teenagers were arraigned Friday for attacking a man with a pickax and a baseball bat during a Holland Township home invasion Wednesday.

Codi James Antoniello, 19, of Holland and a 16-year-old male from Holland Township both were charged with two felonies — first-degree home invasion and felonious assault — for their part in Wednesday’s attack.

Their 21-year-old victim is recovering in the hospital where he is listed in good condition.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, two men entered a Howard Avenue residence at about 2:35 a.m. Wednesday and attacked the victim with a pickax and a baseball bat. His father called police and reported the altercation.

Prior to the assault, officials say the victim and one of the suspects had been arguing on Facebook about the victim’s ex-girlfriend.

After the attack the pair fled the scene and detectives caught up with them at a Holland Township apartment complex on Thursday evening. They were taken into custody without incident on felony charges.

Police told FOX 17 NEWS that Antoniello was apprehended while he was in the process of shaving his head to alter his appearance.

Antoniello is being held at the Ottawa County jail while the 16-year-old is lodged at the Ottawa County youth home.
