1 victim stabbed in chest, suspect behind bars

KALAMAZOO, Mich.–Police arrested one suspect after a stabbing that happened early Tuesday morning.

According to Kalamazoo Public Safety, officers responded to a stabbing  in the 1400 block of Banbury Road. After they got on scene, they found a 24-year old man with a stab wound to his chest. Officers say that the victim’s girlfriend stabbed him after an argument. The victim was taken to the hospital, and is expected to be OK.

Police located and arrested the suspect, who is facing Assault with Intent to Murder charges. If you know anything about this incident, police are urging that you call them at 269-337-8994 or Silent Observer at 269-343-2100. We will continue to bring updates as more details come in.
