Suspect update: Gaines Township gas station robbed

GAINES TOWNSHIP, Mich.–The Kent County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a suspect following a robbery early Saturday morning.

It happened around 3:45 a.m. at the  BP Gas Station at 6045 Kalamazoo Ave. SE in Gaines Township. Deputies said the suspect entered with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk before taking off.

suspect 2The suspect is described as a black male, early to mid 20’s, 5’8″-6′ tall, and weighing between 160-170lbs. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt, white shoes and a black mask.

    Yet another black man committing another crime. I bet the handgun was not purchased legally and he didn’t have a concealed carry permit. Too bad someone with a legal gun and carry permit wasn’t there to drop this pos where he stood.
