WYOMING, Mich.– Two people are being mourned by the community after a deadly crash in Wyoming on Sunday.
Wyoming Police say it happened around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of 28th St SW and Michael Ave SW. When crews arrived, the people inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash shut down a long stretch of 28th Street and cut power along Clyde Park Avenue; crews were called in to restore that electricity.
The victims in the crash have been identified as Kenny Cheatom and Brittney Milton, 21. Brittney was an employee at the Applebee’s on 28th street. On Sunday evening, a vigil was held at that restaurant for the two victims.
Family members and Co-Workers tell FOX 17 they were blown away by the turnout and appreciate the support.
Investigators are still looking into what lead up to that crash but believe weather may have played a factor.
