Michigan-  He’s a big-name musician here in the state of Michigan, and now, as he gets ready to release a new album, Kid Rock is sharing his thoughts on everything from music to gay marriage in a new op-ed.

The rocker, who’s from the Metro Detroit area, wrote the piece for the British newspaper The Guardian.

In the article, Kid Rock talks about technology and why he doesn’t  “face tweet”. The musician also touched on some controversial issues like guns and gay marriage telling the paper, “as an ordained minister I don’t look forward to marrying gay people, but I’m not opposed to it.”

Kid Rock, who is now 43, burst onto the music scene back in the 90’s with hits like “I Am The Bull God” and “Cowboy.”

His 10th studio album called ‘First Kiss’ is set to be released on February 24th; his first single from that album, which is also called First Kiss is already posted online.
