Update: Teen suspect in fatal Holland apartment shooting arrested

davon walker mugshotHOLLAND, Mich. — The suspect in a Holland homicide turned himself in and is behind bars as of Thursday afternoon.

According to Holland Police, 17-year-old Davon Walker has been arrested and charged with homicide, manslaughter, and death by weapon aimed with intent but without malice. These charges result Walker to a 15 year felony.

Walker is the suspect of fatally shooting 22-year-old Derrick D’Andre Ruff-Shingles Monday at Harbor Village Apartments on W. 40th Street.

    How did he get the gun? Anyone think it was registered to him or he had a concealed carry permit? Since a large percentage of young black men carry illegally obtained guns the police should have the right to stop and frisk. It isn’t racial profiling. It is called a clue in detective work.

    Does anybody else wonder why our court system thinks it’s ok to have murder=only a 15 year felony? This is why there are so many blacks running around killing people, they know they will be out in 7-12 years TOPS!

    Chicago comes to Holland. What does “aimed with intent but without malice” mean? Intent to aim the gun or intent to kill? How can you aim with intent to kill but not have malice?
