West Michigan – The bitterly cold temperature on Wednesday morning led to numerous reports of strange lights.
These lights were “Light Pillars” or more specially in this case “Ice Pillars”.
They occur at night when it is very cold. Ice crystals reflect off artificial light as pillars of light that extend vertically into the sky.
