OAKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich — Deputies with the Kent County Sheriff’s Department have identified a driver that was killed in a single vehicle crash Sunday morning.

Deputies say Debbie Rauch, 56, of Gowen was traveling southbound on Lincoln Lake Avenue just south of 14 Mile Road in northeast Kent County when she attempted to pass another vehicle around 7:45 a.m.

Deputies say Rauch’s Jeep Wrangler left the roadway and struck a tree.

Rauch was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say icy road conditions appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Kent County Sheriff’s Department.

The Oakfield Fire Department and Rockford Ambulance assisted deputies at the scene.
