BIG RAPIDS, Mich. — A 27-year-old Big Rapids man is facing two charges of attempted murder after an altercation with Big Rapids Police Officers last week.

Wesley Snyder allegedly shot arrows at the two officers with a bow Jan. 16 and charged at them, according to a release.   One of the officers tased him and he was arrested.

In addition to attempted murder, Snyder was also charged Tuesday with seven counts of felony assault and three counts of resisting and obstructing police.  He faces life in prison if convicted and is behind bars on a $5,000,000 bond.

One of the officers suffered cuts and lacerations to his face, including injuries to his eye and eye socket.   According to a release, the officers were at Snyder’s apartment to question him about an assault that happened Jan. 10.
