Suspect sought after armed pharmacy robbery in North Muskegon

NORTH MUSKEGON, Mich. — Police in North Muskegon are searching for a man who they say robbed the Hometown Pharmacy, 1900 Ruddiman Dr. at gunpoint.

The robbery happened at about 6:40 p.m. Monday when the suspect entered the pharmacy and pulled out a handgun.   North Muskegon Police Chief Thomas Korabik says the man demanded that a pharmacist place medication in a backpack he was carrying and then fled on foot.

The suspect is described by police as a white male about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a thin build in his 20s.  During the time of the robbery he was wearing a camouflage jacket with a hood pulled over his head, Chief Korabik said.

K9 units tracked the suspect but lost his scent.  Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact North Muskegon Police at 231-744-4313.
