GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — “Movies in the Park” is just one of the great things to do in Grand Rapids during the summer. Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and Friends of Grand Rapids Park have officially released the dates for the 2015 season.
The Movies in the Park event dates will start at dusk on these Friday nights:
- June 5
- June 19
- July 10
- July 24
- August 7
- August 21
The Movies in the Park launched in 2013 and has continued to grow in the community of Grand Rapids. This event is held at Ah-Nab-Awen Park, and moviegoers bring a blanket, food and beverages to enjoy before and during the movie, which is projected on a high definition 50-foot screen.
“When we announced the Movies in the Park line-up last year, we heard many positive stories from people who were excited to watch a classic movie under the stars,” explained Kristopher Larson, President and CEO of DGRI. “This year we’re happy to contribute to the anticipation for the summer months.”
