WYOMING, Mich. -- Two puppies were found starving and shivering in the freezing cold last Tuesday.

Kent County Animal Control says four-month-old  Annie and six-month-old Timmy were found in the front yard of a vacant home  in Wyoming.

The two puppies were found by a woman who was out walking her dog.  How they got there is still a mystery.

Kent County Animal Control was called in to help the puppies, which were taken  to the Animal Emergency Hospital on Plainfield Avenue for treatment.

Annie had a body temperature of 81.6, which could have killed her.  She was so skinny you could see her bones.  Timmy was in bad shape as well.

A week later, both puppies are doing well.  They have gained weight and are happy and healthy.

The best news is that a family has been lined up to adopt them.

The puppies did not have a license or microchips, so animal control has not been able to track down the owner. If you recognize the dogs and know who the owner may be, call animal control at 616-632-7300.
