Night-time blaze damages apartment in Grandville

GRANDVILLE, Mich. — Firefighters were on the scene Friday night battling a fire at a Kenowa Avenue apartment.

At 9:35 p.m. Friday, the Grandville Fire Department responded to a report of an apartment fire at 3920 Kenowa Avenue SW, near the intersection with Ravenswood Drive SW. Shortly after arriving at the scene,firefighters reported that a lower-floor apartment was fully engulfed in flames.

There were no injuries.

Firefighters contained the flames to only one apartment in the building.
