NORTON SHORES, Mich – Like many students in West Michigan, Kristina Davignon and Courtney Brewer had the chance to experience a day off of school thanks to Sunday’s snow storm.

But unlike many who enjoyed a day off indoors, the Mona Shores students say their day take a ‘hot’ turn.

Davignon says Brewer arrived to her house shortly before 5:00 p.m. and later noticed what appeared to be a snowplow driving by out the window.

What appeared to be drifting snow continued to fly by, with the pair quickly noticing it wasn’t snow, but smoke.

They walked out to the driveway and found Courtney's Pontiac on fire, snapping a picture as the pair called firefighters to help put the flames out.

Firefighters were able to get the vehicle fire under control quickly.

In one video, you can hear one of them say, "Don't worry, she got her clothes out, it's all good."

Still no word on the cause of the actual fire, which popped out the front tires at one point.

Nobody was hurt.
