Everyone out safe from overnight house fire

KENT COUNTY, Mich.  — Everyone made it out safely from a house fire early Monday morning.

Crews responded to calls for a potential fire at a home on 21 Mile Road in Solon Township at around 6:00 a.m.  Dispatchers say there were no injuries reported at the scene, but four departments ended up responding to get the flames under control.

There was heavy damage to the roof of the home.  It is not clear what may have caused the fire.
