WEST MICHIGAN -- The body of a woman found in Louisiana in the 1980s may be that of a missing Kalamazoo woman.

The Bossier Sheriff's Office is Louisiana recently created a "Bossier Doe" Facebook page to help generate tips in an attempt to identify the woman.

The woman was found dead more than 30 years ago from stab wounds.

The Facebook page, created Feb. 6, led to a tip to investigators in Louisiana from a woman in Michigan on Tuesday morning.

The tipster told investigators the composite picture of "Bossier Doe" had a close resemblance to Carol Ann Cole, a woman who's been missing from the Kalamazoo area for decades.

FOX 17 spoke with relatives of Carol Ann Cole Wednesday night, who say Carol was a runaway who was thought to have visited the Shreveport, Louisiana area before her disappearance.

We're told relatives of Carol Ann Cole have met with detectives in Kalamazoo County to give a DNA sample to see if there is a match, which could take several days to come back.
