2 arrested in connection with Sparta armed gas station robbery

SPARTA, Mich. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a Jan. 12 armed robbery at the AGO gas station, 560 E. Division.

Joel Francis Thompson, 23, and 25-year-old Corey Steven Robach are facing charges of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Thompson was charged Wednesday, and Robach is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, according to Sparta Police.

Police released surveillance video of the armed robbery Jan. 16 in an attempt to locate the suspects.  They said in a release that Thompson was the one who pulled out a gun in the video and Robach guarded the door.
