MIDDLEVILLE, Mich. — Fire crews fought Tuesday morning to save a Middleville home that family members said had been in the family for several generations. At the time the fire broke out, there were four people inside, and they all made it out safely. They’re not sure about their cats.
Unofficially, the fire is thought to have started upstairs in the home at 11439 Parmalee Road north of Middleville in Thornapple Township.
Several fire departments teamed up against the fire, including crews from Dutton and Caledonia.
The fire was knocked down by 4:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
One man in his 30s said he had lived in the home all his life.
