A man suffered non-life threatening injuries after police said he was stabbed in an Applebee’s parking lot.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said it happened just after midnight in the 3100 block of Beeline Road in Holland Township.

Police said the victim was approached by his girlfriend’s estranged husband, who began to fight with him before allegedly stabbing him in the chest. The suspect took off, but was later arrested.

The 47-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
