Victim in Grand Rapids parking lot shooting identified

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The man who was shot and killed Sunday morning near the Chicken Coop restaurant has been identified by police as Terence Hollis.

Hollis, 32, was shot at about 2:46 a.m. in the restaurant’s parking lot, located at 1156 S. Division.  He was rushed to the hospital and later died.

According to a press release, there was a fight inside the restaurant prior to the shooting and it continued in the parking lot.   Police said it’s unclear if Hollis was involved in the altercation.

No arrests have been made in connection with this shooting.  Anyone with information on it is asked to call Grand Rapids Police at 616-456-3604 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345.
